Before becoming the CEO for the Knowledge Economic City (KEC), Mohammad has served as Chief Investment Officer for KEC coming from MAS Holding Company in Qatar where he served as the Head of Real Estate Investments managing the RE investments with Global mandates focusing on Europe and GCC, leading the team in all stages of the real estate acquisition process including deal sourcing, sector research, and detailed due diligence.

Almubarak previously worked as Head of Alternative Investments at Riyad Capital, a company fully owned by Riyad Bank established to operate on its own aimed to become a trusted provider of rewarding investment products, delivering superior customer service through highly skilled and engaged staff across an array of channels, satisfying the needs of both investors and shareholders. Prior to that Almubarak spent around eight years at the Saudi Capital Market Authority - CMA in the Corporate Finance and Investment Funds Department, where he held leading and technical positions. One of Mohammad’s startups positions he served at the Financial Service Authority (FSA) in London, UK as a Secondee for Market Infrastructure and Policy Department - Markets Division. Almubarak sits as a board member for a number of companies in KSA and abroad.

Mr. Almubarak holds master’s degree in finance from Cambridge University, UK and BA in Finance from King Faisal University – KSA. He also attended numeral executive courses and training from renowned institutes including Harvard Business School, New York Institute of Finance and training by London Stock Exchange in UK.
